Long-distance move from Philadelphia, PA to Medford, NJ

Recommend Highly Recommend

This company is very reliable and I and my wife hired them and the service was fantastic! I have nothing but praise for the company and their moving coordinators as we moved from PA to NJ. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped and my huge sofa in which could not be taken down because it was too large was moved two days later by the crew and Bill the dispatcher didn't even charge us as he did it as a courtesy and I 'm very thankful.

I looked at other reviews when selecting them especially the ones that don't recommend them and believe me as a client of them I found that they are all nothing but a bunch of cow turds. I and my spouse used them and we recommend them highly.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

This company is unreliable and I wish I did more research into how sketchy they are. They no-showed me 2 days in a row. First day, they blamed it on a mover calling in sick, but Micky (owner? Manager?) kept saying he would call me back with updates and continually did not call me back. The 2nd day I didn't even get a phone call or apology. Micky offered less than 10% discount after the first no-show, which is just disrespectful. Now that I did more digging, I see their company is mentioned on movingscam.com and it seems the owner may not have proper licensure/documentation.

Long-distance move from Philadelphia, PA to Atlanta, GA

Our 5th move

These guy were the absolute best movers and this was our 5th move as this time we moved from Philadelphia to Atlanta for my new job. The move was done right and the company met all of my moving requirements and the best thing of this move is that I did not have to wait 21 days to get my items delivered as other movers told me. Eastern Connection Movers actually they were there at my new residence in Atlanta before I even arrived waiting for me and I appreciate the punctuality. I work for a large company and so I would and have recommended them to my supervisors in HR for the other moving of the company I work for so that they can use these guys Eastern Connection Movers for those upcoming moves.

Price: Just as what they quoted me

Quality of move: Absolute excellence

Being on time: Most certainly.

Experience: I heard 37 years and I believe it!

I clearly again recommend them!

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Florida

Never delivered our furniture..

Our scheduled delivery was Sept. 8th.  Mike told us the entire month of sept. his trailer needed to be rebuilt and he could only hire a one-man shop mechanic.   He would not provide a new delivery date.   In October 2014 he told us the trailer was fixed and they woudl leave Philly to come to Florida.     Last we heard the trailer had a flat tire in North Carolina and we never heard from them again.  It is not October 15th. The entire contents of my house have gone missing and are sitting on a truck non-secured somewhere.  we have been excues all month and now Mike will not return emails, text or voicemails.     This website should not recommend him as a qualified vendor.

Long-distance move from Philadelphia, PA to New York, NY

Totally Unprofessional.

Similar to other reviews, we received an extremely low estimate which we actually questioned thinking they didn't understand the scope of the move. When they stated they only needed one driver and one large van for a studio move to NYC, we had to convince the owner that we needed another driver. Ultimately, we contracted for another driver at an additional cost because we know one person cannot drive, park, unload, move, and complete the job in NYC. We should have stopped with them at this point; however, I was assured they knew what they were doing. The van/truck they brought was not big enough for the move (even though we told them exactly how many boxes and what sizes). So, when we went down to the area where they were loading, you can imagine our surprise when many of the boxes were now loaded on top of the van, covered with a tarp and a rope! When we stated that isn't what we contracted for and that they would have to unload everything, they became very unprofessional and frankly, scary. We could not get in touch with the owner as he was having some sort of a "medical emergency" and couldn't take our calls, but we could hear him talking to the movers about the situation. My husband had given them the cash for the job when they arrived, so now it was time to get our cash back. One of the movers began counting it back and decided he was going to keep some of it as a "professional fee". It wasn't until my husband threatened to call the police, that they returned ALL of our cash and left. Needless to say, we have never received any phone call or any shred of concern regarding out situation. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Long-distance move from Quakertown, PA to Somerset, NJ

Highly recommend.

Hired these guys in a pinch to move me as my company forced me to move from PA to NJ to be closer to my job. These guys were very professional and on time and they did the move in one day. I saw these men moving quickly to get my move completed as they knew my spouse had our 2 month old baby to put to bed. They started at 10 and were completed my 3 bedroom town home move in 8 hours. I would certainly and def use them again and highly recommend them. I have moved myself before but I realized that my friends all have jobs and besides the company was paying for this move. I am great full that I hired the right team.

Long-distance move from Allentown, PA to Towson, MD

Move PA to MD.

Arrived early. Worked really fast and efficient. Packed the truck as to protect our things carefully. The men had great hand trucks and plenty of experience as we could see. They moved everything out and into our new place without damaging one wall and nothing of ours was damaged. We heard about these guys from a friend of our whom used them before and we were glad we hired them and would highly recommend them. 5 Stars is really low as these guys should get 10 stars and we would leave that if it was possible. Do yourself a favor and take it from us when you need moving help call these guys.

Long-distance move from Perkasie, PA to Windsor Mill, MD

A nightmare from beginning to end.

Really late. Lots of excuses. Inadequate training. Lousy equipment (a metal hand truck w no padding). Insufficient pads and blankets. Poorly packed truck. Damaged furniture. Scam tactics — would’t unload truck until full payment made. (It’s now 1 am in the morning — move was supposed to arrive at new place by 4pm. Filed claim for damages - no response. No returned calls. One star is even too good for these movers.

Eastern Connection Movers -- bad.

I thought these guys would be good because they had some good reviews elsewhere, but they broke and lost a bunch of our stuff and have steadfastedly refused to pay for any of it, even though we purchased complete insurance coverage through them.   Also, they just crammed all my suits and ties into a giant box without hanging them, as I'd expected they would.  When the clothes came out they were terribly wrinkled.  At first they were apologetic for all the problems and told me to submit a form with photographs.  I did, but they kept sending me new forms to fill out.  Finally I got the point--they are never going to pay. The other big issue was timeliness.  They waited to start unpacking until late in the afternoon and then had to stay until past midnight to finish the job.  The neighbors were furious and my kids were exhuasted.  Laster I realized they did this intentionally so that I would be too tired to notice all of the missing stuff and damage they did. On a final note, I paid them to haul away all the trash, but found the next morning they had dumped it all in the basement of our apartment building.  The super was not impressed. Avoid Eastern Connection Movers.

Unprofessional moving company.

I would strongly warn you not to hire this company..unprofessional is a mild characterization of this outfit. 1. They did not show up on the scheduled move date. After 2 hours of trying to contact them without success they called to say they ran over on the previous job in another state and offered to move me on the following day. The next day they arrived 1.5 hours late. The reason given for being late - one of the movers lives far away/had to travel a long distance. 2. They forgot that they were supposed to pack us and had to go to the nearest Home Depot to buy packing supplies which delayed things another 1.5 hours.  We provided our own packing materials in the meantime to 1 mover and packed with him @ 1/4-1/3 of the boxes while waiting for the other 2 movers to return from Home Depot. From that point it took them 14.5 hours to pack and load my 2100 sq ft house onto the truck.  3. The truck wasn't large enough for our stated job which included picking up items we had at a local storage facility- however it didn't matter since they didn't leave my house until 1:30 in the morning and the storage facility was no longer open at that time.  4. They closed the truck and were about to leave when I yelled out to them that there were several items still left in the house that they didn't get (2 TVs, 3 rolled rugs, etc) - the items barely fit in the too small truck.  5. Because of the late hour, we agreed to delay unloading at my new house until the following morning (now 2 days after our scheduled move date). Again, they arrived over an hour late. It took them over 8 hours to unload the truck. 6. They removed and packed my Italian chandelier from my old home but they couldn't hang it at my new home because they didn't save the screws! 7. The clothes they packed were a mess when I went to unpack them. 8. One of the movers spent a great deal of time on the phone arranging other jobs for his company during the course of my move. 9. One of the movers kept getting phone calls about a birthday party he was late for and he seemed resentful that he was there at my move. Seriously? 2 days after I was expecting to be moved in? I was the one who had a right to be resentful.  UNPROFESSIONAL all around. I would have had a smoother experience if I had gotten my brothers to move me. They discounted the price but I would have been happy to pay more to move 2 days prior with efficiency.
